Why are my radiators not hot at the top?
It’s possible you have air trapped at the top of the radiator. Try bleeding the radiator to remove the air.
Does my Unvented Cylinder need servicing?
Your Cylinder is a pressurised vessel, it has Safety Devices built in. If they fail the cylinder would become dangerous. If you check the manufactures literature or website they normally recommend that the cylinders must be checked every 12 months. We can do this when Servicing the Boiler, saving Time and Money.
What is a Magna Clean?
Basically its a powerful magnet in a cartridge, fitted to the return pipe of the boiler. Modern boilers have more moving parts with finer tolerances which can easily become blocked with Black Sludge. Your radiators sacrifice themselves for your copper pipes. The Magnet attracts the Sludge before it can return and damage your Boiler, and should be cleaned when having your Boiler Serviced.
Boiler Plus 2018: What does the new legislation mean for you?
The new Boiler Plus legislation has been designed to ensure that all households in the UK are energy efficient.
Boiler Plus is the biggest piece of legislation since 2005 when the UK became the first country to become “all-condensing”.
All new boilers from April 2018 must have a minimum ErP efficiency of 92% with time and temperature controls fitted if they aren’t already present and working correctly.
Also combi boilers, the most popular boiler type in the market require one of four additional requirements.
Each will need to suit each individual homeowners circumstances. It means each installation will include an aspect of consultancy as you discuss the best needs for the customer.
The measures available are: Load compensation – the ability to use the current room temperature to modulate the flow temperature from the, this needs the control and boiler to intelligently communicate. Weather compensation – the ability to use outdoor sensors to find out the outside temperature to modulate the flow temperature from the boiler. Smart control – A control that provides automated heating, hot water and optimised boiler efficiency. FGHR (Flue Gas Heat Recovery)

Our Smart Service covers the minimal level of servicing necessary to check the appliances Safety and Operation.
Normally taking 1 hour to complete and costs £60, our Intelligent Service is for those looking to maximise their investment by extending the appliance life and should be performed every 3-5 years (or according to the manufactures instructions.)
It is a more Intensive Service where we Deep Clean with the aim of Actively Restoring the appliance to its intended Health. We also advise you on parts likely to fail so you’re not caught out by Large Call Out Charges.
Normally 2-3 hours to complete, and costing £150 plus any parts needed.
